Form and material

Form

The vessel is short-necked and wide-mouthed. The jar, with its extroverted rim, has an “S” profile and small, flat base. On one side there is a small knob-shaped projection.

Fabric

the vessel has a grey core and dense sand and stone inclusions.

Slip

Its outer surface is bright black and extremely well-burnished. The inner surface of the pot is brick red, slipped and lightly burnished.
